Central Yukon Draft Resource Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement, AK

Virtual Public Meetings and ANILCA Section 810 Hearings

The Bureau of Land Management Central Yukon Field Office is developing a new resource management plan (RMP) for the Central Yukon Planning Area. The RMP will provide future management direction for approximately 13.1 million acres of BLM-managed public land including the Dalton Highway and Central Yukon areas. In order to provide the public with an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments on the Draft RMP and associated EIS, EMPSi facilitated seven virtual public meeting and ANILCA Section 810 hearing webinars over the course of two and a half weeks in January and February 2021.

These webinars included a narrated slideshow presentation to provide an overview of the Draft RMP/EIS and a Question-and-Answer portion, as well as a facilitated public hearing portion, during which participants could offer public comments on the Draft RMP/EIS and ANILCA Section 810 findings via the Zoom web platform or over the phone. These webinars were attended by representatives of tribal governments as well as various members of the public, including Alaska state departments and agencies, commercial outfitters, and non-profit organizations.

These webinars were recorded as part of the official public record. Transcripts of these virtual public webinars are available to the public on the BLM National NEPA Register page. For more information on this project, please visit the BLM National NEPA Register page.
