On August 1, 2021, EMPSi facilitated a live public hearing webinar for the US Fish and Wildlife Service, which allowed attendees to learn more about Hanson Material Service’s application for an Endangered Species Act incidental take permit. 

The purpose of the meeting was to present Hanson Material Service’s project and the decisions that the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service is required to make under the Endangered Species Act and under the National Environmental Policy Act. This webinar included a narrated slideshow presentation to provide an overview of the proposed project, as well as a moderated live Q&A session with Service staff to answer questions from members of the public on the proposed project. Additionally, the webinar included a facilitated public hearing portion, during which participants could offer public comments on the proposed project via the Zoom web platform or over the phone.
