Alternative A
Focus on enhancing habitats with measures designed to support natural ecosystems; greatest number and extent of measures
Integrates adaptive management and prioritizes natural and nonrenewable resource programs
Vegetation managed to support resiliency
Closure and NSO stipulations around and outside CCNHP boundary
Alternative B
Focus on preservation of Chacoan and cultural landscapes
Prioritize cultural and paleontological properties, including specific measures proposed by stakeholders
Sub-Alternatives B1 and B2 would involve closures to oil and gas leasing for varying distances around the CCNHP and the boundaries of Pueblo Pintado and Kin Bineola
Alternative C (Preferred Alternative)
Focus on balancing community needs and development while enhancing land health
Emphasis on tribal and local perspective of the landscape
Sub-Alternatives C1-C6 involve:
NSO stipulations and closures to oil and gas leasing for varying distances around the CCNHP boundary and boundaries of Pueblo Pintado and Kin Bineola
Alternative D
Maximize resources that target economic outcomes while sustaining land health
Promotes development of fluid mineral resources
Would emphasize other multiple uses as a priority over protecting wilderness characteristics
No closures or stipulations to areas around CCNHP boundary or Chacoan roads and outliers
