Live Public Hearing Webinar

On December 1st 2020, EMPSi facilitated a live public hearing webinar for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).

The webinar allowed attendees to learn more about the proposal to downlist the Red-Cockaded Woodpecker from endangered to threatened under the Endangered Species Act. This webinar included a narrated slideshow presentation to provide an overview of the proposed downlisting, as well as a moderated live Q&A session with USFWS staff to answer questions from members of the public on the proposal. Additionally, the webinar included a facilitated public hearing portion, during which participants could offer public comments on the proposed downlisting via the Zoom web platform or over the phone.

This webinar was attended by various members of the public, including state departments and agencies, private companies, and non-profit organizations. A recording and transcript of this public hearing webinar are available to the public. For more information on this project, please visit the project website.
