Providing Comments

Reclamation is seeking public input on the draft EA for the Conconully Safety of Dams Modification project. The public comment period is open from June 10 to July 10, 2025.

This virtual public meeting room website is accessible 24 hours a day. Visitors can view information about the project, read frequently asked questions, and submit comments. Additionally, the public can provide input and participate in the process through two, in-person public comment meetings. The public meeting posters are available here.

The draft EA is available at https://www.usbr.gov/pn/programs/sod/conconully/nepa/nepa_docs/ConSOD_DraftEA_20250605_508.pdf.

To be most helpful, your comments need to be as specific as possible. Examples of substantive comments are as follows:

  • Identify any new information that could affect the analysis.

  • Point out any inaccuracies or discrepancies in how we represent the resources and uses of the program area.

  • Highlight any new impacts, alternatives, or potential mitigation measures.

Comments that are less helpful and considered non-substantive are those that:

  • Vote in favor of or against an alternative.

  • Agree or disagree with agency policy without justification or supporting data.

  • Are unrelated to the project area or the proposed project.

  • Contain vague, open-ended questions that lack specificity.
