The Forest Service wants your feedback

The Forest Service is requesting public comments on the Draft Northern New Mexico Riparian, Aquatic, and Wetland Restoration Project EA.

To be most helpful, your comments should be as specific as possible. Substantive and useful comments:

  • Provide new information about the proposed project or suggest an alternative

  • Identify a different way to meet the project need

  • Suggest alternate methodologies and the reason(s) why they should be used

  • Make factual corrections, or identify different sources of credible research or data

Comments that are less helpful and considered not substantive are those such as:

  • Vote in favor of or against the proposed action

  • Agree or disagree with agency policy without justification or supporting data

  • Don’t pertain to the project area or the proposed project

  • Are vague, open-ended questions

  • Provide references for consideration without detail or context on how the references relate to the project or the concerns you have

Ways to Comment

The comment period for scoping ended on June 1, 2020.

Comments, including anonymous comments, will be accepted at any time. However, anonymous comments and comments submitted after the close of the scoping comment period will not provide the commenter standing for administrative review. We thank you for your participation.
