Desired Condition

Definition: Desired conditions are descriptions of specific social, economic, or ecological characteristics of the plan area, or a portion of the plan area, toward which management of the land and resources should be directed. Desired conditions are the vision of what you want your forest to look like, and other plan components (objectives, standards and guidelines), would be designed to get you there.
